The room tells you what kind of place this is before anyone hands you a slice. Deep red walls, a black and white floor, white subway tile, a granite counter. A chrome sign over the register.
On top of the case, a line of die-cast classics. A '57 Bel Air, a Corvette, a 911. Nobody planned them as decor. They are just there, the way things end up on a counter that belongs to somebody.
